Occupational Therapist (m/f/d) Wedel — Growing Department with Room to Shape

Wedel
Full or part-time
Permanent employee
20 - 26 € per hour

Job description

Location: Wedel Rosengarten (next to Wedel S-Bahn station) Employment: Full-time or part-time (20, 25, 30 or 38 hours) Pay: €20–26/hour (depending on experience and qualifications)

You want to do real occupational therapy — not just keep kids occupied, not just manage clients, not just get worn down between paperwork and rushed sessions? You want a practice where occupational therapy is taken seriously for what it is: an independent, effective form of therapy with genuine room to shape your work?

Then keep reading.

Therapiezentrum Wedel is an interdisciplinary family business with physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy and rehabilitation sports all under one roof. Since 1996. 31 people on the team. Spread across 800 m² over two floors, right next to Wedel S-Bahn station in the Ärztehaus Rosengarten medical center.

Our occupational therapy department is growing — and you can help shape it. We're actively investing in training, specializations, rooms and materials. That means: you're not stepping into a rigid structure. You're stepping into an area where your input matters, where your specialization is supported, and where your professional profile shapes the profile of our department.

With us, you'll work across the full spectrum of occupational therapy — from pediatrics through sensory integration and neurology to geriatrics and hand/orthopedic therapy. Whichever focus interests you most, or whichever direction you want to grow in, we'll shape together. Whatever you need to get there — training, materials, space, professional guidance — you'll get it.

Your responsibilities:

  • Treat clients from infants to the elderly with real therapeutic depth
  • Design your therapies independently — your clients, your methods, your judgment
  • Bring your specialization actively into the development of our occupational therapy department
  • Work interdisciplinarily with physio and speech therapy colleagues — a real advantage, especially with complex cases
  • Support parents and family members in integrating therapy into everyday life
  • Write reports using modern software, voice input and AI support — during the workday, not after hours
  • Use internal case discussions to think through cases together instead of carrying them alone
  • Take on professional responsibility in your area of focus

Qualifications

What you need:

  • Completed training or degree as an occupational therapist
  • Desire to help build and shape a growing department
  • A high standard for effective, client-centered therapy
  • Independence paired with team spirit
  • Commitment, reliability and an open, collaborative attitude

Nice to have, but not required:

  • Focus or experience in pediatrics, neurology, geriatrics, hand/orthopedic therapy or sensory integration
  • Additional qualifications such as SI therapy, Bobath, Affolter, Perfetti, CMOP-E or mirror therapy
  • Experience in interdisciplinary collaboration
  • A clear vision of where you'd like to deepen your practice (we'll fully fund whatever you're missing)
  • Driver's license for home visits (not required, but helpful)

Also expressly welcome: career starters hungry for development, returners after parental leave, and those leaving a current practice where occupational therapy feels like a side note.
