You want to do speech therapy the way it's meant to be done — with time, professional depth and real relationships with your clients? You're tired of conveyor-belt therapy, just working through whatever is in front of you? You want to work independently, choose your methods freely, and exchange ideas with colleagues instead of therapizing in isolation?
Then keep reading.
Therapiezentrum Wedel is an interdisciplinary family business with physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy and rehabilitation sports all under one roof. Since 1996. 31 people on the team. Spread across 800 m² over two floors, right next to Wedel S-Bahn station in the Ärztehaus Rosengarten medical center.
Our speech therapy department is being newly built — and you can be part of it from the start. We have a small, professionally experienced core team that we're building on. What we're missing now: speech and language therapists who want to help shape a department instead of stepping into a finished structure. People who want to set their own focus areas, take fachliche ownership, and work with physio and occupational therapy to deliver truly interdisciplinary therapy.
Especially looking for: pediatric focus. If you're at home in pediatrics — speech and language development disorders, dyslexia, stuttering, myofunctional therapy — you'll find a space here where you can take professional responsibility. But even if your focus lies in adult therapy (aphasia, dysphagia, voice therapy), you're warmly welcome — we're building the full spectrum.
What you'll need to make this work — training, materials, rooms, exchange with occupational and physio colleagues — you'll get.
Your responsibilities:
- Treat clients from infants to the elderly with real therapeutic depth
- Design your therapies independently — your clients, your methods, your judgment
- Set professional focus areas and bring them actively into the development of our speech therapy department
- Work closely with occupational and physio colleagues — especially with children, a huge added value for therapy
- Support parents and family members in transferring therapy into everyday life
- Write reports using modern software, voice input and AI support — during the workday, not after hours
- Use internal case discussions to think through cases together instead of carrying them alone
- Take on professional responsibility in your area of focus
